Max, a beautiful lynx point Siamese cat, loves going on hiking and camping adventures with her human mom, Kaylin.

Their journey began in May 2021 when Max was just a tiny kitten, and Kaylin was instantly smitten. She was only four weeks old and weighed just one pound, but Kaylin knew she was special.

Kaylin, an experienced outdoor enthusiast, began training Max when she was just six weeks old. She started by getting Max used to a harness and backpack inside the house.

At first, Max was a bit hesitant, but with patience and treats, she quickly became comfortable wearing her gear.

Once Max was confident in her harness, Kaylin started taking her on short walks around the neighborhood. Max loved exploring new sights and smells, and she quickly became a pro at walking on a leash.

As Max grew stronger and more confident, Kaylin started taking her on longer hikes and camping trips. Max loved being in the great outdoors, chasing butterflies, and running up and down trees.

She even learned to drink water from a stream and eat grass like a pro! Kaylin was amazed at how quickly Max adapted to the outdoors and how much joy it brought her.

Max has been on countless backpacking trips, car camping adventures, and day hikes. She’s hiked over 20 miles in a single day and has even gone on solo backpacking trips with Kaylin. Max loves being in the tent and snuggling up in the sleeping bag.

Kaylin says it’s the cutest thing in the world! Max will often burrow to the bottom of the sleeping bag and then inch her way up to rest her head on the pillow beside Kaylin.

Kaylin wants to inspire others to take their cats on outdoor adventures, but emphasizes the importance of proper training and building trust between cat and human.

She encourages people to start small and gradually increase their cat’s outdoor time. Kaylin also stresses the importance of keeping your cat safe and secure, especially in areas with wildlife or other potential dangers.

Max’s favorite activities include chasing butterflies, running up and down trees, and eating grass.

Kaylin says Max loves hiking in the evening when the sun is setting, and she’s allowed to explore off-leash (under close supervision, of course!). Max is also a big fan of car rides and will often stick her head out the window to feel the wind in her fur.

Kaylin’s mission is to show that cats can be trained to do anything, and that taking them outside can strengthen your bond and create unforgettable memories.

She’s happy to help anyone get started with adventure cat training and answers questions on her Instagram page. Kaylin believes that with patience, love, and proper training, any cat can become an adventure cat like Max.

If you’re a fellow cat lover, get inspired by Max’s adventures and consider taking your own cat on a fun outdoor journey!

Remember to always prioritize safety and training, and enjoy the snuggles and memories you’ll make along the way.

With a little patience and practice, your cat can become an adventure cat like Max, and you’ll have a lifelong companion for all your outdoor adventures.
